The award ceremony for diplomas and prizes to the winners of the regional competition, who achieved the best results in harvesting grain and leguminous crops, as well as rapeseed, will take place today on the central square of Verkhnedvinsk. Prior to this, the leading agricultural workers will march in a festive procession through the central streets of the "Dazhynki" capital.
This year, the Vitebsk district has been recognized as the best in grain and leguminous crop harvesting (as well as in rapeseed harvesting), the second place was awarded to Verkhnedvinsk district, and the third to Polotsk district. Among integration structures, OAO "Polotsk Grain Processing Plant" leads in grain and leguminous crop harvesting. Among agricultural organizations, "MazolovoGaz" (a branch of "Vitebskoblgaz") and OAO "Shaiterovo" of Verkhnedvinsk district have been recognized as the best. Among integration structures in rapeseed harvesting, OAO "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant" is the leader.
Traditionally, the harvest festival will honor individual best combine operators, drivers, agronomists, and tractor drivers. Some farms and agricultural educational institutions will receive BELARUS-82.1 tractors and LADA 21214 cars as gifts.
The festival program includes numerous events. At the festival of agricultural workers of the Vitebsk region "Dazhynki-2018", ethno-yards will be set up, where Belarus, Russia, and Latvia will present their culture. Interactive platforms of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Automobile Inspectorate, the 103rd Separate Guards Airborne Brigade, and youth organizations will be organized for children and youth. The most spectacular demonstrations on water, land, and air are expected to be presented by rescuers. Sports competitions will be held, and about 50 trade, catering, and district homestead facilities will be open. Verkhnedvinsk will also host the grand opening of new and reconstructed facilities for the holiday, including a sports and recreation complex, a cultural center, a fountain, etc.
"Dazhynki" will conclude with an evening concert and fireworks. More than 80 media representatives will cover the event.
Next year, the regional festival of agricultural workers will be hosted by Braslav, and in 2020, "Dazhynki" will be held in Vitebsk.
