The best young family will be chosen today in Vitebsk, Lyudmila Klimenchenko, Head of the Youth Affairs Department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, told a BELTA correspondent. Two families from each district of the regional center (Oktyabrsky, Pervomaysky, and Zheleznodorozhny), who have passed preliminary qualifying rounds, will take part in the creative competition "Dad, Mom, I - A Friendly Family!". During the competition tasks, parents and children will have to creatively present their family, draw and defend a family photo together. Intellectual and musical competitions include questions on knowledge of children's songs and fairy tales. The tasks for parents, "Dancing on the Dance Floor" and "Maternity Ward," also promise to be interesting. The first will demonstrate the choreographic abilities of the adult family members, and the second will show how well they understand each other without words. According to the concept of the competition, each of the mothers found herself back in the maternity ward and had to explain with gestures to the new father who was born and whom the baby resembles. The outcome of this competition largely depends on the fathers' quick wit. The competition for the best family is held with the aim of promoting harmonious, creative, and successful family relationships, encouraging a wide range of families to choose positive joint leisure activities, and demonstrating the experience of the best young families in raising children. Largely taking these objectives into account, Secondary School No. 12 was chosen as the venue, and pupils and their parents were invited as spectators and supporters.
