President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay a visit to Azerbaijan on April 13, the press service of the Belarusian leader informed BELTA.
The two-day programme includes a busy negotiation agenda. In particular, the head of the Belarusian state Alexander Lukashenko and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will hold two meetings. One of them will take place immediately upon the arrival of the Belarusian leader in Baku. In an informal setting, the heads of state will discuss the main directions of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations and strategic issues of bilateral cooperation.
The official part of the negotiations is scheduled for Wednesday. The meeting of the presidents will be held in narrow and expanded formats with the participation of delegation members. The main focus will be on expanding trade and economic interaction and filling cooperation with new content. The parties will consider issues of industrial cooperation, the implementation of current and prospective projects in the production and supply of food, and the processing of agricultural products. Equally relevant topics will also be touched upon: cooperation in healthcare, scientific and technical, educational, and tourism spheres.
The heads of state will also exchange views on current international agenda issues.
The signing of bilateral documents is expected following the negotiations.
