President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Egypt on February 19-20. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

In Cairo, Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks with President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The heads of state will discuss the implementation of current agreements reached during the Egyptian leader's visit to Minsk in the summer of 2019, and the prospects for the development of trade, economic, and humanitarian relations.

"The Presidents will consider issues of interaction on international platforms, ensuring security in the region and the world as a whole. Following the talks, a package of bilateral documents is expected to be signed," the press service noted.

Alexander Lukashenko is also scheduled to have a series of meetings and visit, together with Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the new administrative capital of Egypt, which is being built 45 km east of Cairo.

In parallel with the head of state's visit, a meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Business Cooperation Council will be held in Cairo.
