The future of Europe lies in cooperation with Belarus and Russia, but neither country will tolerate humiliation. This was stated by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, in Sochi, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Europe, if it has had its say (I'm not talking about those across the ocean), let them think. I've told them three times already that their future is with us. Together with Russia, which has everything they need. And they have what we can buy from them. What else do they need? They just need to make responsible decisions. If they don't want to, then so be it," said Alexander Lukashenko.
"They must treat us with respect," noted Vladimir Putin.
"Without that, we won't talk to them at all... We, Slavs, will not talk to them without that. No one will tolerate humiliation. Not to mention Belarus. Russia is a giant country, what humiliation could there be? We remember how over there, in America, starting with the previous president: 'We are exceptional.' Put a crown on your head – 'we will rule the world.' This continues now. You cannot treat people like that," emphasized the Belarusian leader.
"Whoever wants to live in peace with us and respect us – we are open, and so are you. Especially you. You constantly talk about this. We are ready for that. But no one will tolerate humiliation. Russian people have never had this. And no one will allow it, not a single Russian person, not a single president, including President Putin, to deviate from this line. That's the whole economy and politics. We have spoken about this more than once and will continue to speak about it, persistently advancing this policy," concluded Alexander Lukashenko.
