The more personal achievements there are, the stronger our Belarus becomes. The importance of this was highlighted by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on September 12 during the ceremony of awarding state awards, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"Today, on the eve of the celebration of the Day of National Unity, we honour hardworking people devoted to their country," the Head of State emphasised. "You have come from different corners of Belarus, and you have followed different paths to your success, but today these paths have converged into a single way. Our way. It has opened the doors of the symbol of our independence – the Palace of Independence – to you and led you to your well-deserved awards."

The President believes that there is a certain symbolism in this event. "Working in various fields, setting diverse goals, we achieve high results that ultimately become a common success, the success of our entire country," Aleksandr Lukashenko continued. "And the more personal achievements there are, the stronger our Belarus becomes."

"Each of you embodies the best national traits of Belarusians. This is diligence, which is manifested in the desire to develop one's abilities, to constantly learn and grow professionally," the President stressed. "This is patriotism, which we see in the aspiration to serve the Fatherland, the readiness to defend this Fatherland at any moment. By growing grain, educating and raising children, helping people in difficult circumstances, saving lives, you demonstrate the responsibility, compassion, and humanity of the Belarusian people – its main characteristics. Your creativity reflects the beauty and harmony of our culture. Scientific achievements demonstrate intellectual power, and sports victories – the strength of spirit of our nation."

The Head of State also noted: "Your life experience constitutes bright pages of our common history. The history of sovereign, independent Belarus."

"I want to thank you, and through you, all Belarusians who dedicate a part of their soul to their beloved work, to people, and to their native country," the President remarked.
