President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that he will be on a visit to Russia on Friday and Saturday. The exercises will continue during these days. The Russian side will work out the format of the presidents' activities. The Head of State announced this to journalists after familiarizing himself with the progress of the Belarusian-Russian exercise "Union Resolve - 2022" at the Osipovichi training ground, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"Yesterday at 1 p.m. we spoke with him, and agreed on a plan of action for Friday-Saturday, because our exercises will continue on Saturday as well. The Russian side will inform you about the format of these exercises and where Putin and I will be present during the exercises," said Alexander Lukashenko.

The exercise "Union Resolve - 2022" is the second stage of the verification of the Union State's response forces. The maneuvers are being conducted from February 10 to February 20. During the exercises, issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State, are being practiced.

Practical actions of the troops are taking place at the Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Brestsky, and Osipovichi training grounds, as well as at separate areas of terrain.
