June 25, Minsk /BELTA/. There is external interference in Belarus's internal affairs and election campaign. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko today while making personnel decisions, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
Speaking about the current situation in the country, Alexander Lukashenko noted that "terrible fakes" are being actively disseminated on the internet, with the aim of discrediting the authorities. Some of these fabrications, the President said, simply surprise him: "Today I was informed (although it was a long time ago, no one reported it) that one of my sons has $840 million in Switzerland. Send a letter there through diplomatic channels: whoever wants to take this money, let them take it immediately."
Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that information is simply being falsified, and people who do not understand banking documents believe these fakes. "People just don't understand what it is. Such fakes will be constant. And we must bear this in mind, live with it and fight it. By the way, this is being fed by 'babichevsky' structures, 'nezigari' from Russia," he added. "This is not ours, this information comes from Russia. Then they will apologize, take it down. But it has already been planted in people's minds."
"Even concerning military personnel. They say it's a Security Service ID. Someone left and took their ID with them, now they are printing that they are against the authorities. It is incredible that upon dismissal from the Security Service, a person would keep their ID for even an hour. They first hand over their weapon, ID, then get a clearance form and so on," the President noted. "People, especially young people, who are there (in Telegram channels. - BELTA's note), do not understand this. And they look: even in the Security Service, they are against the President. These are the kinds of fakes, and we have to live with them. But we must keep our heads on our shoulders and explain to people what is happening."
The Head of State noted that the opponents of the authorities demand fair and decent elections, but at the same time behave unfairly themselves. "Are they pushing us towards dishonesty, the way they behave? It is clear that there are puppeteers behind them. They are on both sides. They live in Poland and throw things in from Russia. We will discuss this with President Putin in the near future at a meeting, but this situation is very complex. The most modern fake technologies are being used, there is foreign interference in our elections and internal affairs," stated Alexander Lukashenko.
"But we are not a nuclear power. We cannot take a nuclear warhead, wave it around and shout, or talk about hypersonic weapons, saying that we will respond to you. We are an ordinary Central European country, peace-loving, focused on a quiet life. And we simply cannot threaten anyone in this regard," the President added.
