Belarus is always ready to provide assistance and support to Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during negotiations with President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"I have read about your work in Belarus during this time. I welcome your work here. You should know the main thing: if something in Belarus suits you in terms of technology and other issues in agriculture, industry, and healthcare – we are always ready to provide you with assistance and support," the Belarusian leader assured.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus closely follows the situation in the Balkans. "You know my attitude well. Regarding all the cases and issues that exist, and the events that have occurred in Yugoslavia, which is friendly to us. When it was simply dismembered. You know my position, my attitude towards you in the most difficult times. I mean Serbia, when it was subjected to bombing," said the head of state. "We know that it is not always easy for you there, but you are fighting bravely. We welcome this. Only courage and resilience, and strength today, unfortunately, can determine the future of a country, region, district, or territory. I think you are holding on steadfastly there, representing the interests of Orthodox people and people who trust and believe in you. We are on your side in this regard. And you can count on us. In short, you have come to your friends."
As reported by BELTA, Milorad Dodik is on a working visit to Belarus from February 17-19. The visit agenda is extensive and includes a series of meetings and negotiations, visits to industrial enterprises, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and the State Institution "Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantation and Hematology." The focus of the visit is on the development of bilateral trade relations, increasing cooperation in the fields of industry, healthcare, science, and education, and expanding the bilateral treaty and legal framework.
