President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is confident that Belarus and Russia will be able to overcome all emerging difficulties. He stated this during negotiations with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in Moscow, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"We will overcome all of this. And those who hoped or predicted that we would collapse – we have not collapsed at all. Yes, it will not be easy. And when was it easy? We will endure and do everything, even in microelectronics, where a year ago, meeting in your office, we were discussing exactly what to do. It turns out that we have found an opportunity to work here too. And missiles are flying, and combat equipment is moving, both for us and for you. So we will overcome everything, it just takes a little time. And tomorrow we will sum up what we have done. We have definitely earned the salaries we are paid," the Belarusian leader emphasized.

He recalled that earlier Belarus and Russia had adopted 28 Union programmes within the framework of developing the Union State, leaving aside, at Vladimir Putin's suggestion, "those heights that we could not conquer for a long time and still cannot." "Then, at your suggestion (right here) – you said: 'Well, if we can't, why are we treading water? Let's do what we can.' And we defined 28 Union programmes," the head of state said.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that 80% of the Union programmes have already been implemented. And the frequent meetings with Vladimir Putin were precisely related to ensuring there were no delays in their execution.
