Lukashenko tests Belarusian super-harvester in fields near Alexandria

On August 11, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko tested the Belarusian grain harvester "Palessie GS2124" in the fields of OJSC "Alexandriyskoye", reports a BELTA correspondent.

The head of state announced his intention to observe the operation of this equipment in field conditions on August 10, during his visit to "Gomselmash", where the harvester was demonstrated to him.

"These are harvesters for those farms that have learned to prepare the soil. If there is a slight unevenness, it floats, catches these unevennesses because the header is automatically adjusted. Therefore, the highest technologies for soil management are needed. But it needs to be finalized, this is truly a harvester of the future," the President concluded. He paid special attention to the need for greater localization in the production of equipment and the training of machine operators.

Alexander Lukashenko also familiarized himself with the operation of other new products from "Gomselmash" - harvesters GS3219 and GS19R.

The President emphasized that enterprises must use the acquired equipment carefully. To this end, combine operators and machine operators should be sent to the factories so that they know how these machines are created. "They will already imagine, with their eyes closed, what is behind this casing. This is a very important thing," he stressed. "Therefore, at least large farms, which set the tone in the country, should be 'put through the assembly line' over the winter. This is a small expense. The same should be done at MTZ, at MAZ."

The head of state was offered to develop continuity among combine operators. Previously, for example, there was a practice when they took their children to harvest grain, but after several tragic incidents, this format of work was abandoned. Alexander Lukashenko instructed to work through these issues in order to more actively develop continuity among agricultural workers while strictly observing safety regulations. "Submit proposals so that we can launch this process from January 1," he instructed.

The President also inquired about the work of OJSC "Alexandriyskoye", its economic activities, production and financial indicators.

As reported to Alexander Lukashenko, the enterprise's performance can generally be described as positive, however, it is significantly affected by a large debt burden. "We need to develop a scheme, a procedure for loan repayment for such farms, using this enterprise as an example, so that they can live, work, develop, and repay loans peacefully," the Head of State instructed.

He was also informed about the progress of harvesting operations in other agricultural organizations of Shklovsky district and the entire Mogilev region. Special attention was paid to lagging enterprises and improving their performance.

In addition, the President discussed with specialists the specifics of the "Kupalovskoye" agroholding's operations and possible options for production reorganization.

The GS2124 grain harvester is based on the KZS-1624 model and features a number of high-tech innovations, such as satellite guidance or guidance from an Earth-based navigation station. Additionally, the harvester is equipped with a precision farming system that determines the amount of harvest collected from a specific segment and then generates a field yield map. The remote monitoring system allows, in particular, sending an emergency message to the service center. Thanks to the video surveillance system, the grain unloading zone can be monitored much better. The installed straw chopper system enables operation at increased speeds of up to 6-8 km/h (compared to the standard 3-3.5 km/h).

The Belarusian combine is not inferior to its foreign counterpart in the most expensive configuration, the Lexion 770.

Currently, three prototype GS2124 units are undergoing testing in the fields of Belarus, including at OJSC "Alexandriyskoye".
