Life poses fundamental and pressing questions, and it is important not to miss the historical moment in the era of generational change. This was stated by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with members of the Republican Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions, BelTA correspondent reports.
"Life poses fundamental and pressing questions for us. You are intelligent people, scholars with degrees, you understand both the measure of your responsibility and the essence of the historical moment. You know how important it is not to miss it in the era of generational change. A third of a century ago, we managed to walk along the edge of an abyss without deviating from the path laid by our ancestors. Look at those who have strayed from this path – the Baltics, Ukraine, and others. Industry and agriculture have been ruined. What kind of personnel should be trained? It is clear: for those countries whose handouts they live on. This is the national idea. This is not our way," the President said.
Alexander Lukashenko highlighted the issue of the demand for quality education using the example of Uzbekistan, where he paid an official visit a few days ago. After all, along with new technologies, there must be trained personnel and specialists.
"But we must not relax under any circumstances. And we must not underestimate the challenges of today," the President added.
