President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with Russian politician and statesman Dmitry Rogozin, stated his readiness to use the full potential of Belarus to implement joint ideas, BelTA reports.

"I am glad to meet today and discuss the entire range of issues that have accumulated over this time. And knowing you as an active person, unable to stand aside from the main events not only in the region but also in the world, frankly speaking, I am ready to contribute to your experience and knowledge being useful for the benefit of our common ideas, which we share with you, and have for a long time. We have a common Fatherland, and for its sake, we simply must work together. You have many ideas. I know about this. I am ready to use the entire potential of Belarus, the scientific and practical one, for this purpose. If it is beneficial for us, for you. And, in general, for our unity of Belarus and Russia," said the head of state.

In turn, Dmitry Rogozin noted that his business trip to Belarus would be short but productive. He thanked Alexander Lukashenko for the opportunity to meet. "I am here in Minsk on a short working trip. Today, there will be meetings with representatives of the industry of the Republic of Belarus, my old friends, with whom we have never lost our good relations. Today I will hold negotiations with them on a number of projects that are primarily related to the work of our scientific and technical center. And I will tell you about this today. I think these are interesting things," he emphasized.

At the beginning of the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko remarked that recently Dmitry Rogozin had "completely disappeared from the radar, with only brief notes and reports in the media."

"I am working as I always have. In a different capacity, but with much greater potential opportunities and taking into account the colossal changes occurring in the world of technology. I will report to you about this today," said Dmitry Rogozin, who previously headed the Roscosmos State Corporation for several years, and before that held a number of other responsible positions, including work in the government of the Russian Federation, the military-industrial and diplomatic spheres.
