Head of State Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting with the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeenko on January 25, BELTA correspondent reports.
The main topics discussed during the meeting were preparations for the upcoming elections of deputies and personnel issues.
"How are we doing with the election process?" the President inquired, clarifying whether any participation from his side was needed. "Perhaps there are some shortcomings, requests, and so on?"
The Head of State also inquired about the personnel situation: "We have several vacancies. I have just spoken with Khodzhaev (Alexander Khodzhaev, who has been appointed Minister of Health. - BELTA note). I believe he will be a good minister." Alexander Lukashenko said that he had signed the corresponding decree on appointment and instructed that the new head be introduced to the staff of the Ministry of Health on January 26. "So that the Prime Minister introduces him and sets the tasks that should be outlined for the ministry," the President explained.
