"I am convinced that your country, which pays special attention to a healthy lifestyle and has outstanding achievements in sports, will organize this international sports festival at the highest level thanks to the diligence and professional attitude of the Chinese people towards any endeavor," the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State noted that the motto chosen by China for the Winter Olympics, "Together for a Shared Future," vividly reflects humanity's aspiration for joint prosperity, peaceful development, and new achievements. "And may the Games proceed strictly in the spirit of true Olympism, beyond politics and for the glory of sport," the President wished.

Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that he recalls with particular warmth his visit to the Celestial Empire during the XXIX Summer Olympic Games in 2008, which amazed the whole world with their scale, organization, and hospitality. The Head of State recalled that China then won the medal standings, and Belarus showed one of its best results in history. "I hope that these Olympic Games will also bring fans of our countries many pleasant moments from the brilliant performances of Chinese and Belarusian athletes," he noted.

The President wished the Chinese leader good health, happiness, and great success, and the athletes and guests of China – a beautiful and memorable Olympics.
