President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent greetings to the participants and guests of the XV Republican Ecological Forum. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"By protecting the nature of our native land, developing a strategy for the rational and economical use of its resources, you are taking care of future generations, the health and well-being of our children and grandchildren," the head of state noted.
Alexander Lukashenko stressed that responsibility for the ecological security of the planet is equally shared today by world leaders, public associations, producers and consumers of the benefits of civilization – all inhabitants of the Earth. "For each of us, a careful attitude towards the environment must become a way of thinking and a norm of life, and for states and unions – a priority direction of state policy," the President is confident.
He also expressed his conviction that, by dedicating the current forum to the issues of sustainable urban development, the participants of the event will find a balance in the pursuit of economic benefit and the preservation of the natural beauty of their native Belarus, its biological diversity, and ecological purity.
