Today, Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks in Cairo with the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. As previously reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader, the heads of state will discuss the implementation of current agreements reached during the Egyptian leader's visit to Minsk last summer, and the prospects for developing trade, economic, and humanitarian relations. The presidents will also consider issues of cooperation on international platforms and ensuring security in the region and the world as a whole. A package of bilateral documents is expected to be signed following the talks.
Alexander Lukashenko is also scheduled for a series of meetings and a visit, together with Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, to the new administrative capital of Egypt, which is being built 45 km east of Cairo. It is planned that an exhibition of Belarusian-Egyptian scientific and practical projects, promising scientific developments, high-tech products, and large-scale equipment will be organised there.
Concurrently with the head of state's visit, a meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Business Cooperation Council will be held in Cairo.
