President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has embarked on an official visit to Uzbekistan, as reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
In Tashkent, the head of the Belarusian state will hold negotiations with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The meeting between the two leaders will take place in a one-on-one format and in an expanded format with the participation of delegations. The presidents will focus on issues of deepening interstate relations, intensifying trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The parties will pay special attention to the development of cooperative ties in various industries, cooperation in agriculture, science, education, and tourism.
Alexander Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also discuss the regional and global agenda, and the interaction of the two countries within integration structures and on the international stage.
Following the negotiations, a number of bilateral documents will be signed. In particular, the signing of an action plan for the development of cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan for 2024-2025 is expected.
