Lukashenko Appoints Ambassadors to Five African and Asian Countries

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has appointed non-resident ambassadors to five countries in Africa and Asia, a BELTA correspondent reports.

Igor Marshalov has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Zambia on a non-resident basis. Mikhail Kasko has become the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on a non-resident basis. Roman Romanovsky has been appointed as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on a non-resident basis. Furthermore, the appointment of Viktor Podskrebkin as Head of the Department of Economy and Sectoral Programs of the Standing Committee of the Union State has been approved.
