President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has identified technological modernization in the industrial sector as one of the key issues on the Belarusian-Chinese agenda. The Head of State made this statement during negotiations in Beijing with representatives of Chinese business circles, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Tomorrow we are meeting with PRC Chairman Xi Jinping, and one of the main issues will be the machine-building industry and the technological modernization of specific industrial sectors in Belarus," said the Head of State. "I am saying this so that you understand – this is not my own brilliant idea, which our economy desperately needs today. This is the idea of PRC Chairman Xi Jinping, who, as we can see, is focused on a scientific and technological, let's even say, revolution in machine building, both in China and globally."
"I am very grateful to my long-time friend and colleague for involving Belarus in this process, which has gained significant momentum in China – the modernization and (creation. – BELTA Note) of high-level production," added the Belarusian leader.
