President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a working trip to the Logoisk district today, demanded that indiscipline and non-performance in agriculture be addressed, BelTA reports. during a working trip.
At the "Ostroshitsy" farm, the head of state was informed about the prospects for the development of grain harvester engineering. The occasion for the event was an unusual anniversary: the day before marked 25 years since Belarusian harvesters began to be produced at "Gomselmash" by order of the President.
"The event is somewhat symbolic. But it is dedicated to a very important stage in the development of our state. Not even agriculture. We well remember when people had nothing to eat, people needed to be fed. And how can you live without bread? It so happened that there was some bread in the field, but there was nothing to harvest it with. And then serious decisions were made regarding how to harvest the bread," Alexander Lukashenko noted.
At the same time, the head of state could not ignore the negative aspects, noting the mismanagement of equipment and harvest during the harvesting campaign. "We know how to do everything, but this sloppiness, indiscipline, non-performance is a disaster. This must end," the President demanded.
