We must primarily provide for those people who do not have housing. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko today at a meeting with the Minsk asset, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The Head of State touched upon the work of construction organisations and the formation of prices for new housing. In this regard, a number of measures have already been taken to establish order, so that everything is done transparently and fairly. "We have managed to slightly reduce prices, primarily where people are on the waiting list. And we will intensify this process. The main thing for us is the price per square metre," the President said.
"We will also intensify the construction of rental housing. We tried it, these houses were built like small-family dormitories. I went in, looked, remembering my youth (two children – four of us lived in nine square metres), and there is a two-room apartment – in Borovlyany. And they built it instantly. Wonderful houses. How many young people do we have without apartments today – a sea," noted Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, there are no restrictions for those who want to build additional apartments for themselves. "Build, pay as much as you want, and build. We must primarily provide for people who do not have housing," the Belarusian leader emphasised.
