President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has made personnel changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and appointed new ambassadors to countries significant for promoting Belarus's interests, BelTA reports.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has made personnel changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and appointed new ambassadors to countries significant for promoting Belarus's interests, BelTA reports.
The Head of State has approved the appointment of Sergei Aleinik, who previously held the position of Deputy Minister, as First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The President has also approved the appointment of two Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs: Yuri Ambrazhevich (who until now worked as the Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva) and Igor Nazaruk (who was the Director of the Trade Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission).
Alexander Lukashenko has also appointed Vladimir Ulakhovich, who until now headed the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary, and concurrently to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia. Anatoly Lis, former Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Georgia. Vladimir Borovikov, who previously held the position of Head of the Main Personnel Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam. Larisa Belskaya, who previously worked as Head of the Foreign Policy Analysis Department of the Main Information and Analytical Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
