April 19, Minsk /BELTA/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will address the Belarusian people and the National Assembly with his annual Address today, BELTA reports.

The event, which will traditionally be held in the Oval Hall of the Government House, is attended by top officials of the country, members of the government, heads of government bodies, major enterprises, universities and banks, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the media.

This year, the Belarusian public will be particularly widely represented among those invited to the Oval Hall. These include deputies of previous convocations, representatives of the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans, the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus", the Belarusian Women's Union, university students (including representatives of the BRSM), cadets of military educational institutions, and journalists from regional media.

The Address will conceptually reflect the main accents in the socio-economic development of the country at the current stage. The content of the Address is determined, inter alia, by the analysis of appeals received before the "Big Conversation with the President" on March 1 of the current year. Each of these appeals has been carefully studied and processed.

Alexander Lukashenko's speech will be broadcast live on the TV channels "Belarus 1", "Belarus 24" and the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio. The broadcast will begin at 10:30 AM. A television version of the Address will be shown in the evening broadcast of Belarusian TV channels.
