President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has signed Decree No. 348, aimed at bringing the Head of State's acts regulating law-making activities and the provision of legal information into line with the updated Constitution. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The document, in particular, provides for changes to the list of legal acts included in the National Register of Legal Acts (it is supplemented by decisions of the All-Belarusian People's Congress), and the exclusion of the mechanism for preparing draft decrees and submitting them for the Head of State's consideration.
The necessity of obtaining the President's consent for submitting draft laws to the House of Representatives, which provide for the repeal of the Head of State's decrees (or their structural elements), is enshrined.
Furthermore, the decrees are brought into line with the new provisions of the Law "On normative legal acts" (in terms of terminology used), and are also refined taking into account law enforcement practice.
