President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has approved the draft intergovernmental agreement with Russia on the implementation of the military-technical cooperation program between the two countries until 2025 as a basis for negotiations. The Head of State signed the corresponding decree on August 17, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Alexander Lukashenko has authorised the State Military Industrial Committee to conduct negotiations on the draft agreement and to sign the document upon reaching an agreement within the framework of the approved draft.
The military-technical cooperation program between Belarus and Russia until 2025 envisages the implementation of a number of measures, including joint research and development work on the creation of new and modernisation of existing types of armaments and military equipment, as well as dual-use products. It also provides for the organisation of joint production of final types of armaments, military equipment and their components, the implementation of unified policy measures in the field of technical regulation, standardisation and cataloguing of military products, and the supply of military products and services in the interests of the security forces of both countries.
