On November 24, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 413, approving as a basis for negotiations the draft agreement on free trade between the Eurasian Economic Union and its member states, on the one hand, and Indonesia, on the other. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The document aims to simplify mutual trade and develop cooperation between the EAEU and Indonesia as an important trading partner in Southeast Asia. The conclusion of this agreement will provide an additional competitive advantage for the products of Belarus as a member state of the EAEU, create conditions for expanding export supplies, and ensure savings on customs duties.
The government is authorised to conduct negotiations on the draft agreement and sign it.
