And, despite the fact that sovereign, independent states have emerged in this common space, we, as reasonable people, must move away from all sorts of prejudices and organize normal interaction, so that it is no worse than in the Soviet Union," said the Belarusian leader.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that in doing so, it is necessary to act in a way that does not put pressure on anyone in Russia, Belarus, or other countries. "But to make sure that we are in demand, that our experience is in demand and attractive to other republics. This has been my ideology since the mid-90s after the collapse of the Union. I have not changed my credo and have not deviated from this ideology," the President said. "It is based on the fact that Eastern Slavic civilization is one of the pillars and foundations of world civilization as a whole. And to destroy it means to destroy at least half of the planet. But we must stand firm on this, we must endure. This is very relevant today."
