Police Major General Ivan Podgursky has been relieved of his post as First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Head of Criminal Police. The corresponding decree was signed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on January 30, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Ivan Podgursky has been dismissed from service in the internal affairs bodies to the reserve due to age, with the right to wear the established uniform and insignia.
