President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the workers and veterans of the energy sector on their professional holiday – Energy Worker's Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Thanks to the professionalism and diligent work of tens of thousands of highly qualified specialists, the energy complex is dynamically developing: peaceful atom has been successfully mastered, large-scale projects are being implemented to generate energy not only from conventional hydrocarbons but also from renewable sources and local types of fuel," the congratulatory message reads.

The head of state emphasized that the latest technologies are being introduced in every area, modern equipment is being installed, and the efficiency of generating capacity utilization is increasing, which collectively places Belarus on par with the leading economies of the world in terms of development.

He expressed confidence that the production and technological potential will continue to enable energy system organizations to successfully solve the tasks set before them, the main one being the reliable and uninterrupted supply of energy resources to all consumers.
