Lukashenko was briefed on the development of the poultry industry in Belarus

The Head of State visited the Soligorsk Poultry Farm, where he was briefed on the financial and economic activities of the enterprise. The implementation of an investment project to create a selection and genetic center in the poultry industry was also discussed.

During his visit to the enterprise, Alexander Lukashenko visited a quail farm and familiarised himself with the technologies for keeping industrial quail flocks.

The Soligorsk Poultry Farm has implemented a project to build an innovative closed-cycle quail farm with automated egg collection and packaging. This project is unique for Belarus. After the quail farm reaches its design capacity, it is planned to produce at least 200 million quail eggs annually, and the production volume of this product will increase 1.8 times.

As part of the developed program for selection and production of high-quality quail chicks, high productivity indicators were achieved at the new quail farm site in 2025.

The Soligorsk Poultry Farm is an investment-active enterprise. The company has begun the reconstruction of one of the four existing poultry houses. Two significant innovative projects are in the design documentation stage. One of them is the creation of a selection and genetic center for quail breeding. The second project is the construction of a quail egg processing workshop.

In general, the enterprise produces chicken and quail eggs, and also supplies poultry meat for sale.

Regarding the poultry sector nationwide, the current production base of this industry includes 38 agricultural organisations, comprising 20 poultry farms for meat production and 18 for egg production. Of the 38 poultry organisations, 12 are privately owned. The self-sufficiency level for poultry meat reached 158%, and for eggs – 126%. Surplus products are sold for export.

By the end of 2024, organisations in the country exported poultry meat worth $477.2 million (112% compared to 2023 levels) and chicken eggs for $70.9 million (130.2%). The main share of poultry meat was exported to Russia and China.

To develop poultry farming in Belarus, investment projects are being implemented for the construction of new facilities and the modernisation of existing capacities. In 2025, seven investment projects are being implemented by major poultry farms.

To address the issue of supplying egg-laying poultry farms with domestic breeding material, the project "Creation of a breeding and genetic centre in the poultry sector" is currently being implemented at OJSC "Agrokombinat "Dzerzhinsky". In the future, it is planned to construct sites for the maintenance of the parent stock of egg-laying breeds at OJSC "Soligorsk Poultry Farm" and for the maintenance of turkey parent stock at OJSC "Agrokombinat "Dzerzhinsky".

Scientific support for poultry farming in Belarus is entrusted to RUE "Experimental Scientific Station for Poultry Farming". An important area of the scientists' work includes the development of feeds based on domestic raw materials, which reduce the costs of poultry feeding and increase the efficiency of feed utilisation. Cooperation has been established with CJSC "BNBC".
