BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Head of State.
The document provides for the implementation by the Ministry of Health and the National Academy of Sciences of a set of measures in 2021-2023 to create a corresponding vaccine. In particular, the organizations performing the work for its creation, the main stages and sources of funding for this work, and the timelines for preclinical and clinical trials have been determined.
According to the decree, scientific organizations of the Ministry of Health and the National Academy of Sciences will be equipped with the necessary equipment and components for vaccine creation. The reconstruction of the Centre for Experimental and Applied Virology of the Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences is also envisaged.
