President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the people of the Kingdom of Belgium on their National Day, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Head of State noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. "Fruitful Belarusian-Belgian cooperation and close interaction of peoples in various sectors, cemented by feelings of respect and assistance, have contributed to the formation of reliable ties," the congratulatory message reads.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed gratitude to the Belgian side for humanitarian support and the implementation of numerous charitable initiatives for the recovery of Belarusian children affected by the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.

"Today, the global community faces a number of serious threats. But I am convinced that no political contradictions can destroy the solid foundation of friendly relations. Belarus will continue to consistently advocate for the development of partnership and mutually respectful contacts with your state at all levels," the President emphasized.

The Belarusian leader wished the people of Belgium peaceful skies, solidarity, well-being, and confidence in the future.
