June 27, Minsk /BELTA/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during his working trip to the Gomel region on June 26, instructed to create a fund to support highly profitable farms, reports a BELTA correspondent.

The head of state made this decision during his visit to OJSC "Otor" in the Chechersk district, where he familiarized himself in detail with the organization of livestock farming. The President emphasized that loans should only be issued to those who can repay them within the established deadlines, within 6-7 years at least.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has been instructed to deal with the creation of the fund. This concerns the issue of allocating preferential loans to agricultural enterprises for the implementation of investment projects on production modernization, procurement of equipment and technologies, as well as the construction of production facilities.

OJSC "Otor" has increased milk production by 70% over the past five years to 7.9 thousand tons per year. The profitability of livestock product sales here is 28%. The average salary is Br6.8 million per month.-0-
