President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will today present state awards and the flag of the prosecutor's office. The event will take place at the Great Patriotic War Museum, BelTA reports.
It is planned that before the start of the solemn event, the Head of State will familiarize himself with the exposition dedicated to the victims of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
In April 2021, Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 160 "On Official Heraldic Symbols of Prosecutor's Office Bodies", which, among other things, provided for the establishment of the flag of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus. The flag of the prosecutor's office is a red cloth, on the front side of which is placed the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus, on the reverse side - the emblem of the prosecutor's office bodies, and in the hoist part - a Belarusian ornament. It is a symbol of honor, valor, and glory, serving as a reminder of loyalty to the country and its people, the need to sacredly observe the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, and to impeccably perform official duties.
As reported by BelTA, on February 15 of the current year, the Head of State signed a decree awarding the Order "For Service to the Motherland" III degree to Prosecutor General Andrei Shved, and the Order of Honour to the Prosecutor of Grodno Vladimir Klishin. They were awarded high honors for special merits in strengthening state security and combating crime, and for fruitful state and public activities.
A number of prosecutors were also awarded medals "For Labor Merits" and Letters of Gratitude from the President of Belarus.
