On September 28, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited historical sites on the northeastern coast of the Black Sea, BELTA reports.

A meeting also took place on Abkhazian soil. With Aslan Bzhaniya, the head of the Belarusian state discussed economic projects and promising issues of cooperation between Belarus and Abkhazia.

Alexander Lukashenko said that the day before he had discussed the problems of Abkhazia with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "We discussed these issues a lot, until late at night. He is very immersed, more than I am, in the problems and affairs of Abkhazia. I will not talk about this for long, but we came to one conclusion: that Abkhazia exists, it cannot be erased from the map, no sanctions can do that. Abkhazia, as he says, cannot be abandoned, it must be helped. So that this blooming region and the people who live here live normally," the Belarusian leader stated.

He stressed that he did not come because "some situation has developed." "We have a normal situation. We do not suffer from any geopolitics. We simply want, like you, a peaceful, kind, hardworking people, to live in harmony," the President said.

According to him, the economy and trade and economic ties should become the foundation of relations. "We have come with goodwill. And if we can help you with something, and it will be mutually beneficial cooperation, we will do it. We will talk about many things. I am, as you know, an experienced person. Both in politics and in other areas. We will talk, we will think about how we live on. The main thing is that the people here live with dignity. Because this paradise corner of our land deserves it. And the people here are saints. I am not telling you this to flatter you: saints! I remember this from Soviet times when I visited here. Therefore, we want to establish not just a bridge of friendship, but a very serious relationship," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

As reported by BELTA, earlier Alexander Lukashenko met with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Sochi. The leaders of Belarus and Russia agreed on a bilateral meeting at the SCO summit in Samarkand. Initially, the heads of state planned to discuss the bilateral agenda directly at the summit, but it was eventually decided to hold a separate meeting. "We talk a lot about how we will live on, our prospects. I have analysed all the instructions you have given to the government, I am in Belarus. We have practically no setbacks. The development of our economy and the very existence of our states have changed dramatically even in the last three months. We were predicted collapse, demise, and so on. But life is diverse: someone needs us, we need someone. And we have found partners who work successfully with us, with whom we work and advance our economy," said Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting on September 26.
