Lukashenko to visit Slutsk district on working trip

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay a working visit to Slutsk district, BelTA correspondent reports.

The head of state will focus on agricultural issues, in particular, the harvesting of grain crops. Using the example of the agricultural enterprise OJSC "Kozlovichi-Agro", the President will be informed about the progress of the harvesting campaign throughout the country and in the Minsk region. The development of dairy farms and new approaches to their construction by own efforts will also be discussed. The President will visit one of these complexes - the "Lesuny" farm of "Kozlovichi-Agro", built mainly with the enterprise's own funds and commissioned in early June this year. To date, the farm accommodates 10% of the main herd with a design capacity of 800 heads and a prospect of increasing to 1.5 thousand.

The head of state's working visit will be a practical continuation of the republican selector meeting on harvesting, which took place at the beginning of this week.

As BelTA reported, at the selector meeting, the President instructed to clearly define the harvesting tactics on the ground to ensure maximum yield and prevent losses. "You can't even imagine how much demand there will be for agricultural products, including grain. But we are not going to sell grain for export. We need to process it through livestock farming, get milk, meat, and so on. And sell these products on international markets," said Alexander Lukashenko.

"Believe me, that next year and the year after, this year's grain will be more expensive than the money available today. That is, the price of grain and other agricultural products will significantly increase. Therefore, if possible, it should be stored for winter so that our people can get the necessary agricultural products at reasonable prices in winter and spring. Stabilization funds. Especially in Minsk and regional cities," the head of state instructed.
