The President of Belarus, Chairman of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the leaders of the CIS, as well as the Chairman of the Executive Committee - Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth, Sergey Lebedev, on the 30th anniversary of the organisation.

"Over the past years, the organisation has come a long and challenging way, proving its relevance and effectiveness. Today, the Commonwealth is the largest regional integration association in the post-Soviet space with a unique dialogue platform, ensuring close interaction between participating states in political, economic, humanitarian and other spheres on the basis of equality and partnership," noted Alexander Lukashenko.
The Head of State expressed his conviction that, thanks to joint efforts, the CIS will continue to find adequate responses to the challenges and threats of our time, remaining an integral and important factor in international life.
