President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the people of Slovenia on their national holiday – Statehood Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Over decades of friendship, our bilateral relations have developed in various ways. We have experienced ups and downs, witnessed significant and dramatic changes on the European continent," the Head of State noted. "I am confident that no external obstacles or artificially created barriers will hinder sincere dialogue and cooperation for the sake of strengthening the independence of the two countries and improving the well-being of their citizens."

Alexander Lukashenko also emphasized: "The centuries-old wisdom of Belarusians and Slovenians, prudence, mutual respect, strong economic and humanitarian ties – all this should be a firm foundation for our cooperation."

On behalf of the Belarusian people, the President wished their Slovenian friends happiness, peace, and prosperity.
