"Twenty-five years ago, the Treaty on the Establishment of the Community of Belarus and Russia was signed, which became the starting point for the development of bilateral integration processes. During this time, our countries have achieved a lot in building the Union. Common customs, migration, humanitarian, social, cultural, and educational spaces have been formed, contributing to improving the quality of life and well-being of Belarusians and Russians," the congratulatory message reads.
The President expressed confidence that cooperation within the framework of the Union State, based on the principles of sovereign equality, will continue to serve the interests of the citizens of Belarus and Russia.
Alexander Lukashenko also sent congratulations on the Day of Unity to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin, State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill.
