President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Great Patriotic War veteran Valentina Baranova on her 100th birthday. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"It is symbolic that you are celebrating this significant date in the Year of Peace and Creation, the value of which you know from your own experience," the congratulation reads. "Your fiery milestones from Sloviansk to Berlin, traversed during the Great Patriotic War, were marked by courage, heroism, resilience, and bravery."
Valentina Petrovna's subsequent working life also became a true example of selfless service to the Fatherland, the head of state noted. "As a keeper and preacher of historical truth, you convey it to generations who have not known the horrors of war. Possessing life wisdom and exceptional charm, you bring ideas of love, kindness, and justice to society," the President emphasized. "As a prominent representative of the generation of victors, you continue to be actively involved in your well-deserved retirement."
Alexander Lukashenko expressed his deep gratitude to Valentina Baranova for her military and labour feats and her dedicated work. "May you always be surrounded by loving, reliable, and devoted people. Good health, well-being, joy, and happiness under the peaceful sky of Belarus!" the head of state wished.
