President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has proposed opening a Belarusian Trade House in the Nizhny Novgorod region. He announced this at a meeting with the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation, Gleb Nikitin, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"It would be good if we created a trade house there for selling Belarusian products. I think we need not only to create a trade house for selling food products, but also a trade house where we will sell industrial goods. For people – consumer goods. Both clothing and footwear, and refrigerators, freezers, televisions. Everything that is necessary for the Nizhny Novgorod region. Such a comprehensive trade house," said the head of state.

As Gleb Nikitin explained to journalists after the meeting with the head of state, together with Belarusian partners, a facility has already been selected for the placement of such a trade house, and now it is up to the Belarusian side to make the final decision. "This is exceptionally interesting for us. It should be a modern centre worthy of our cooperation and Belarusian manufacturers," the governor emphasized.
