President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has proposed considering the organisation of a direct flight between Minsk and Barnaul. The Head of State announced this at a meeting with the Governor of the Altai Krai of Russia, Viktor Tomenko, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

The Head of State emphasised that Belarus is interested in developing tourism with the Altai Krai. "This is one of the most beautiful, truly fairytale regions of Russia," Alexander Lukashenko stressed. "To activate trips, both business and tourist, good transport links are necessary. More precisely, the opening of a direct flight between Minsk and Barnaul. This, in my opinion, is also a relevant topic for mutual consideration."
