President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has arrived on a state visit to Zimbabwe. This is the highest protocol status of a visit, reports BELTA.
The head of state's aircraft landed at the airport of the capital city, Harare. The Belarusian leader is being personally welcomed by the President of the country, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The Belarusian delegation has already begun its work in Harare. In the first half of the day, a Belarusian-Zimbabwean business forum was held, at which a number of bilateral documents have already been signed. Business meetings and negotiations will continue during the visit.
The official part of the negotiations between Alexander Lukashenko and Emmerson Mnangagwa is scheduled for January 31. The heads of state will meet one-on-one and in an expanded format, with the participation of delegation members from both sides.
With the participation of the leaders of the countries, a ceremony will also be held for the handover of equipment from Belarusian manufacturers as part of the completion of the second phase of the mechanization program for the farms of the Republic of Zimbabwe and the launch of the third phase of the program. The event will take place at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Institute.
