President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a report on the operational situation in the country and the development of the internal affairs bodies system, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The main speaker is the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov. Among the participants of the event are State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich and Deputy Heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Nikolai Karpenkov and Dmitry Korzyuk.
"Our people already know and understand that recently we have been extensively engaged in improving the management system in our state. Including, and perhaps primarily, concerning its military component. Due to the situation that is developing around Belarus. And there are enough problems within the country. Therefore, in this context, we will discuss today's issues of improving the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. And we will consider a number of other issues that you, primarily the Minister, have long wanted to discuss and make an appropriate decision on," said the President.
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized and asked to bear in mind that there should be no departmentalism or excesses that do not correspond to the state's development directions. "Everything must fit into a single concept, and we must act adequately to the situation. I am hinting that there is never any extra money. There hasn't been and won't be. If it's necessary - then it's necessary. If we can endure - then we must endure. In terms of expansion, perhaps even some spending to ensure the functioning of our military units. The entire security bloc in general. Therefore, if it is possible to endure - then we must endure until a certain time. But if it is already overdue, then a decision must be made quickly," the Belarusian leader noted.
