Lukashenko received the Head of the Presidential Administration for a report

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received the Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko for a report, BelTA informs.

At the beginning of the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko outlined a range of topics for consideration.

Having previously discussed security issues with the military, the President identified organisational matters as central to the meeting with the Head of Administration.

These include planning the President’s schedule (events that must be held); organisation of the upcoming elections of deputies, as well as the formation of the composition of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly; and preparation for the New Year and Christmas holidays.

"I reported to the Head of State on the measures the Presidential Administration is working on preparing. This primarily concerned a number of current year events, socio-political issues, and personnel management issues. Planning for 2024 was also discussed, including the President’s schedule and the main significant events planned for next year," the Head of the Presidential Administration told journalists after the meeting.

According to him, issues related to the preparation and work with the personnel reserve at all levels were discussed. This primarily concerned officials included in the Head of State's personnel reserve. Promising directions in youth engagement were also discussed, focusing on identifying the most capable and talented individuals for work within the state apparatus and other state organisations and institutions.

Igor Sergeenko noted that the Head of State's schedule is quite demanding, which is evident from Alexander Lukashenko's weekly work agenda.

The upcoming year 2024 will also be quite demanding, believes the Head of the Presidential Administration. In this regard, he recalled that on the eve, Alexander Lukashenko signed decrees on the appointment of elections for deputies and members of the Council of the Republic. Accordingly, the work of the Central Election Commission and local bodies will be organized in stages. But the main thing is that next year, for the first time, the composition of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly will have to be formed in a new capacity, which should include genuine people's representatives – individuals representing various categories and strata of Belarusian society. This includes, among others, the parliamentary corps and representatives of civil society.

"The range of issues will be quite extensive. I'm not even mentioning the need to thoroughly summarise the economic performance for the current year. This will also be a subject of discussion with the President. Several large-scale meetings are planned, which the President has spoken about earlier, concerning specific areas of socio-economic policy. Therefore, everyone will have to work actively," Igor Sergeenko summarised.
