President of Belarus, Chairman of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly Alexander Lukashenko will chair a meeting of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the supreme constitutional representative body of people's power, BELTA correspondent reports.
The All-Belarusian People's Assembly is the supreme representative body of people's power of the Republic of Belarus, which defines the strategic directions for the development of society and the state, ensures the inviolability of the constitutional system, the continuity of generations, and civil accord.
In accordance with the amendments and additions made to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus based on the results of the republican referendum of February 27, 2022, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly became a constitutional body.
The first meeting of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly as a constitutional body took place on April 24, 2024.
During the event, the first four decisions were adopted: on the election of the Chairman of the APNA, his deputy, and the Presidium of the APNA, as well as on the approval of the Provisional Regulations of the APNA.
The Chairman of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly elected is the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko.
The Deputy Chairman of the VII APNA elected is Alexander Nikolaevich Kosinets.

The Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly is a standing collegial body that ensures the operational resolution of issues within the competence of the APNA.
The maximum number of members of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly is 15 people.
Scientific advisory and other consultative bodies may be established on a voluntary basis under the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly to address issues within the competence of the APNA.
