The main topic of the conversation was the events in the centre of Europe and, in connection therewith, the issues of war and peace.

In detail, the Belarusian and Turkish leaders discussed the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations, which began on February 28 in Belarus, and the focus on promoting the peace process.

The President of Turkey stated his readiness to contribute in every way to resolving the conflict in Ukraine. Aleksandr Lukashenko, in turn, noted that this position fully coincided with the Belarusian one.

In addition, a significant part of the conversation, which lasted more than an hour, was devoted to issues of sanctions policy by the West against Belarus and Russia.
