President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting with Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing on the sidelines of the EAEU summit in Minsk on June 27, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The previous negotiations between the two leaders took place in March this year. At that time, Min Aung Hlaing paid an official visit to Belarus.
"We have reached serious agreements. And the importance of today's meeting lies in the fact that after some time we can discuss and evaluate how correct the decisions made were and what we have already done to date," said Alexander Lukashenko. - We have a very serious mutual interest, and in this regard, we have agreed to develop a concrete plan for our joint actions, a certain roadmap, along which we will organize our movement in the near future."
The activities in this roadmap are aimed at developing relations not only in politics and the humanitarian sphere but also in the trade and economic sphere, the President said.
"We are already beginning to implement some areas of our agreements. We are solving problems, even creating joint ventures on your territory. We have opened a new area of cooperation. I want to assure you that we will act in this direction," the head of state emphasized.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maksim Ryzhenkov, informed the parties in detail about the steps already taken and the prospects for bilateral interaction.
