President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko saw off his counterpart and friend, President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa, at the airport, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The Presidents met at the airport, during which they summed up the results of the Zimbabwean leader's working visit to Belarus.
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that it is thanks to Emmerson Mnangagwa's personal contribution that the current high level of relations between Belarus and Zimbabwe has been achieved.
"We are very pleased to be here. And we are very pleased with the dynamics of relations that are developing between Zimbabwe and Belarus," said the President of Zimbabwe.
During their friendly conversation, the heads of state also touched upon the weather – this May in Belarus has been quite cool. "You will have to reacclimatize again in your homeland. But you also have winter there," noted the head of the Belarusian state.
Emmerson Mnangagwa confirmed that it is currently winter in Zimbabwe, and at times it is quite cool by local standards. "But the Belarusian weather is very comfortable for us," he assured.
"This means that you need to visit Belarus more often," Alexander Lukashenko replied.
The leaders of the countries said a warm farewell. Emmerson Mnangagwa thanked for the excellent organization of the visit and invited Alexander Lukashenko to pay a return visit to Zimbabwe in the near future. "Thank you very much! I will take the best memories with me," said the President of Zimbabwe at parting.
The day before, Alexander Lukashenko and Emmerson Mnangagwa held negotiations at the Palace of Independence with the participation of members of the governments of the two countries. They discussed, first and foremost, the development of industrial cooperation and the creation of joint ventures, the development of trade not only with Zimbabwe but, from its platform, with other countries of the region, cooperation in healthcare, education, and the implementation of modern technologies. Alexander Lukashenko proposed to intensify cooperation between the EAEU and the Southern African Development Community – Belarus and Zimbabwe are chairing these integration associations this year.

The leader of Zimbabwe arrived in Belarus on May 11. Over the past few days, he visited Belovezhskaya Pushcha, visited the memorial complex "Brest Fortress-Hero", where he laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, and also familiarized himself with the work of the enterprise "Savushkin Product" and highly appreciated the milk processing technologies used in Belarus.
A number of bilateral events were also held on the sidelines of the visit at the departmental level, through enterprises, public organizations, and business circles.
